He thought she loved him, and her reasons for rejecting his proposal didn’t make much sense. When Piper volunteers to manage a benefit auction right before Christmas but injures her ankle, Graham steps in to help. It was for a good cause, and what else could he do? Besides, now he might find out why Piper wouldn’t marry him. Author Emily Conrad skillfully unwraps a sweet romance that examines mistrust, anxiety, fear, and abandonment while demonstrating God’s healing love. What I loved:
