What happens when a free-spirited Jesus freak finds herself falling for a guy who could jeopardize her budding faith?
Farel College student Dana Whitman, determined to secure a nice Christian boyfriend at her conservative Bible school, must pretend to be someone she’s not. However, despite warnings to keep away, she’s drawn to Roland Schowalter, a junior with a reputation as the campus wolf and a practiced flirt. Despite his reputation, he seems genuinely interested in Dana. But can she trust him?
The novel follows Dana through her freshman year as she navigates the challenges of being seen as an oddity for her fervent faith, organizes a campus women’s group of passionate Christ followers, and chases her dream of starring in a theater production.
Debut author Marline Williams brilliantly captures the essence of the early 1970s and the Jesus Revolution in a story of passionate faith, young love, and following one’s heart. The book is filled with laugh-out-loud moments and features a cast of characters you’ll wish you’d had as school friends. I thoroughly enjoyed this entertaining read!
